You can help yourself out by studying online. The best way is to listen to English you understand in short passages and poems. Listen, listen and listen again until it becomes automatic.

Well your example is really a half-hearted attempt in my opinion of your example of an American Accent. But oh well, you aren't there yet.Voicing Needs Work Americans carry their voice out on their breath much more than the British, and that is something that is obvious right from the beginning.

Do Americans have accents? "American accent doesn't have intonation like most other languages" And the best example of a neutral accent for my money would be a pure Californian accent --sans any Spanish influence 1st, mid-west Michigan, Ohioan 2nd, and the new blended sound from modern day Floridians 3rd.


It is very easy and convenient to teach beginning ESL students when they see a word ending in "ed" to just create a second syllable added on to the present tense verb (infinitive), but this is wrong.

This is so very bad for their speaking and for ESL students listening and understanding of English.

It causes so many other problems. If this has happened to you then you know. These lessons can help you end this mistake and pronounce the "ed" ending correctly.
